Personal Responsibility
in a Professional Setting?

Day 23.

What is being right, truly? Being right, is taking personal responsibility. Your responsibility in any situation is:

1. To utilize your strengths (when needed---imposing them on us, unasked, is another variation of trying to be right).

2. To identify and develop (or create support) for your weaknesses. If you can avoid the task, great. If not, your responsibility is to figure out a way to deal with it. You may not be great in this area, but you can lower your error rate. Sometimes that's enough.

3. Stay in your business. Your business is a full time job. My business is my full time job. No overlap, please. We both have 24 hours jobs here.

4. Focus on what is right. To focus on what is wrong, is the easy way out. It can look impressive (to the others that are busy focusing on what is wrong), but it takes no effort or creativity. To focus on what is right is your only job in life.

You have to choose it. We can't do it for you.
